Special Bulletin on new developments in the Agri-food Sector: the new Spanish Food Chain Act

Our team specialized in the Agri-food Sector has prepared a Special Bulletin on the occasion of the recent final approval of the Bill amending the current Spanish Food Chain Act.

The new Food Chain Act transposes Directive 2019/633, related to unfair trading practices in the food chain. Further, it introduces important amendments affecting the relationship between the different participants in the chain.

This Special Bulletin gathers the most relevant new features of this long-awaited reform, such as the extension of the scope of application of the Act or the application of the prohibition on selling at a loss at all stages of the chain, including retail distribution.
